Stairlift Engineer – Installation & Maintenance

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Stairlift Engineer to join our team in North East England. The role involves installing, maintaining and repairing stairlift systems for both residential and commercial clients, ensuring safe and reliable mobility solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Install new stairlift units in line with manufacturer specifications and health‑and‑safety standards.
• Carry out routine inspections and preventative maintenance on existing installations.
• Diagnose faults quickly, carry out repairs and minimise client downtime.
• Produce detailed service reports, recording parts used and time spent.
• Communicate technical findings to clients in a clear, professional manner.
• Maintain accurate records and stay up‑to‑date with the latest stairlift technology.

Required profile

• Proven experience in electrical or mechanical engineering, preferably within lift or mobility equipment sectors.
• Strong commitment to health and safety and customer satisfaction.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, travelling between sites as required.
• Valid driving licence is desirable.
