Stairlift Engineer

About the role

Stannah is seeking a qualified Stairlift Engineer to join its service team covering Southern Hampshire and Dorset. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing a variety of domestic stairlifts, hoists and home lifts, ensuring safety and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance, emergency call‑outs and repairs on stairlifts, hoists and home lifts.
• Carry out risk assessments and complete site log cards for each visit.
• Manage your own service route, planning visits to maximise efficiency.
• Participate in an on‑call rota, receiving standby allowance and call‑out payments.
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality and documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Stairlift Engineer or Domestic Engineer within the lift industry.
• NVQ Level 2 in Lift Engineering or equivalent (training provided for the right candidate).
• Valid UK driving licence.
• Strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

• Stairlift installation, maintenance and repair.
• Hoist servicing and repair.
• Home lift servicing.
• Conducting risk assessments and completing service documentation.
