Station Assistant – Exeter St Davids

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and reliable Station Assistant to join the team at Exeter St Davids Station. This full‑time, fixed‑term position runs until 5 September 2026 and involves providing a high level of customer service in one of the region’s busiest stations.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service and travel information to passengers.
• Assist with wayfinding, ticketing queries and station facilities.
• Support customers with reduced mobility and accessibility needs.
• Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming station environment.
• Respond professionally to enquiries and help manage service disruptions.
• Work on a rotating rota, covering weekdays and weekends as required.

Required profile

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, approachable and professional attitude.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and work well in a team.
• Reliability, flexibility and punctuality.
• Physical fitness for standing and walking for long periods.
• Previous customer‑facing experience is desirable but not essential.
