About the role
Join the Step Forward programme as a foster carer in Basingstoke, providing a stable, supportive home for young people transitioning from residential care. You will welcome a child placed by Plymouth City Council into your own home and help them rebuild their lives.
Key responsibilities
- Provide a safe, nurturing environment for a placed child.
- Support the child’s emotional, educational and social development.
- Work closely with Plymouth City Council and Sanctuary Personnel to ensure the child’s needs are met.
- Maintain regular communication with support teams and attend required training.
Required profile
- Age 21 or over with a spare, dedicated bedroom.
- British citizenship or Indefinite Leave to Remain (permanent residency).
- Experience supporting children, young people, or vulnerable adults, either professionally or personally.
