Steward – Back of House Team

About the role

The Lanesborough is seeking a Steward to join its Back of House team. You will support the Food & Beverage operations by maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and organisation across all back‑of‑house areas.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning and stewarding duties in kitchen, storage and service areas.
• Ensure compliance with COSHH, health & safety, food hygiene and manual handling regulations.
• Assist kitchen and restaurant teams with waste management, stock handling and equipment set‑up.
• Maintain immaculate grooming standards and personal hygiene while on duty.
• Handle manual tasks and heavy lifting safely and efficiently.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a similar cleaning or stewarding role within a luxury hotel or high‑end environment (preferred).
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude and team‑focused mindset.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast‑paced environment.
• Immaculate grooming and excellent personal hygiene.
• Willingness to perform manual handling and heavy lifting.

Required skills

• Knowledge of COSHH regulations.
• Understanding of health & safety standards.
• Familiarity with food hygiene requirements.
• Manual handling best practices.
