Stock Operative – Warehouse Role

About the role

GXO Logistics is seeking Stock Operatives for its Weston‑super‑Mare site, supporting the EDF project that underpins the UK's zero‑carbon energy infrastructure. You will join a close‑knit warehouse team, working 37.5 hours per week on a permanent basis, ensuring accurate inventory control across the site.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out physical stock checks, counts and on‑site investigations using scan guns and the Warehouse Management System.
• Ensure all movements and checks are performed in line with operational and safety procedures, maintaining stock integrity.
• Support the Stock Management Operative in keeping accurate stock levels and preparing inventory for operational use.
• Perform delegated WMS tasks as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience in stock control or warehouse operations, with knowledge of FIFO/LIFO and stock reconciliation.
• Willingness to undergo pre‑employment background checks.
• Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with a Warehouse Management System (Manhattan preferred but not essential).
• High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, combined with excellent communication skills.
