Stock & Planning Manager – Logistics Operations

About the role

GXO Logistics is seeking an experienced Stock & Planning Manager to lead inventory strategy and resource planning for a key customer contract at our Harlow hub. This permanent, full‑time position offers a fast‑paced environment where data‑driven decisions shape operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Own inventory and resource planning across the operation, ensuring optimal stock availability, accuracy and distribution.
• Develop, implement and continuously improve stock control processes and planning frameworks.
• Analyse stock performance, demand patterns and operational trends to identify risks and drive improvements.
• Lead, coach and develop the stock and planning team, fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Manage labour planning and forecasting, aligning resources with volume requirements and budgets.

Required profile

• Proven experience in inventory management, stock control or workforce planning within a logistics or supply‑chain setting.
• Strong leadership capability with a track record of managing and developing teams.
• Advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills, able to interpret complex data and influence decisions.
