Storage Engineer – Systematic Quant Fund

About the role

Join the infrastructure team of a global quantitative investment manager and work closely with Windows, UNIX, network and database specialists to design and deliver shared storage solutions. The role is hands‑on and focuses on building reliable, high‑performance storage for file shares, database clusters and backup systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement Windows file shares, NFS shares and storage‑attached networks for database clusters.
• Develop and maintain a data backup solution supporting the firm’s business continuity plans.
• Manage vendor relationships, evaluate products and lead selection, design and deployment activities.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure storage solutions meet performance and reliability requirements.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in storage systems administration and platform engineering.
• Proven ability to deliver, tune and maintain enterprise‑grade storage solutions.
• Strong knowledge of storage protocols such as SMB, NFS and S3.
• Good working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Track record of designing and implementing data backup strategies.
• Excellent communication, documentation and teamwork skills.
