Storage Team Leader

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Storage Team Leader to manage a high‑value vehicle storage facility. You will be responsible for the safe, secure and efficient handling of vehicles while leading a small team of staff.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all vehicle storage operations, ensuring security, cleanliness and accurate documentation.
• Lead, coach and allocate tasks for a team of five staff members, monitoring performance and providing training.
• Coordinate vehicle movements in and out of storage, liaising with logistics, service, acquisitions and client teams.
• Maintain precise records of vehicle locations, conditions and movements using internal management systems.
• Conduct regular inspections, battery checks, tyre pressure checks and fluid monitoring to meet company standards.
• Act as the primary contact for internal departments and selected clients regarding stored vehicles.
• Develop and enforce operational procedures, insurance and compliance governance.
• Monitor inventory, storage capacity and invoicing, reporting concerns and planning for expansion as needed.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience with direct team management.
• Excellent organisational abilities and capacity to juggle multiple priorities.
• Proactive, hands‑on approach with strong attention to detail.
• Full clean UK driving licence.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of high‑value, classic and performance vehicles is highly desirable.
