Store Assistant - Part-Time

About the role

Join Heron Foods as a Store Assistant on a part‑time basis in Whitehaven. You will play a key part in keeping the store welcoming, well‑stocked and running smoothly while delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Unload and organise deliveries to maintain stock flow.
• Stock shelves, keep aisles tidy and ensure products are presented attractively.
• Greet customers, answer queries and provide friendly assistance.
• Work collaboratively with teammates to meet daily sales and operational targets.
• Maintain store standards and support health & safety procedures.

Required profile

• Enjoy helping customers and being part of a team.
• Positive, can‑do attitude and confidence in a busy retail environment.
• Some experience in retail, sales or hospitality is a plus but not essential.
• Reliability and flexibility to work 8 hours per week.
