Store Manager – Greggs & Subway

About the role

As a Store Manager supporting the Greggs and Subway brands within an Asda Express store, you will be a visible, hands‑on leader who creates a welcoming environment for both colleagues and customers. Working closely with the Store Manager, you will help drive sales, uphold high standards, and ensure a safe, compliant shop floor.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in leading, motivating and developing a proud team.
• Drive sales performance, maintain strong standards and deliver excellent customer service.
• Take full responsibility for the store when the Store Manager is absent.
• Ensure safety and compliance, including PFS and forecourt operations.
• Coach and train colleagues on the shop floor.
• Manage day‑to‑day people processes fairly and professionally.
• Promote an inclusive culture where everyone feels confident and valued.

Required profile

• Retail experience with a solid commercial understanding.
• A positive, supportive leadership style that sets the tone on the shop floor.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.
• Professional approach to people processes.
• Strong commitment to safety, service and operational standards.
