Store Manager – Retail (Stockport)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Store Manager to lead a brand‑new, high‑traffic retail store in Stockport. You will own the day‑to‑day operations, drive sales performance and ensure an outstanding customer experience in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a retail team to meet sales targets and deliver excellent service.
• Be a visible, hands‑on leader working alongside staff on the shop floor.
• Manage store operations including stock control, visual merchandising, compliance and health & safety.
• Analyse KPIs and sales data to drive commercial performance.
• Recruit, train, coach and develop team members.
• Maintain high retail standards for store presentation and customer experience.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager or senior retail leader.
• Proven ability to manage a fast‑paced retail environment with a hands‑on leadership style.
• Strong people manager who leads by example and enjoys developing teams.
• Commercially focused with a track record of meeting sales targets and KPIs.
• Passionate about retail, customer service and creating memorable experiences.
