Store Manager - Toolstation Hailsham

About the role

Toolstation, part of Travis Perkins plc, is hiring a Store Manager for its Hailsham branch in East Sussex. The post is permanent and full time, 40 hours per week, with stores open from 7 AM to 8 PM, so early starts and late finishes are required. The role goes beyond managing the branch: it includes serving customers, checking deliveries, picking items from the warehouse and stocking shelves.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver great service and ensure the team provides a great customer experience, driving sales through service.
• Help the team get the job done: check and unpack deliveries, open and close the branch, stock shelves, clean and put orders together.
• Build a positive culture of feedback, praise and recognition, and encourage a positive mindset.
• Support team development, future business growth and succession planning.
• Make sure customers leave with everything they need for their job.
• Lead by coaching, motivating and engaging the team, and build a fun working environment.
• Maintain product availability and high branch standards.

• A proven track record of developing high-performing, engaged retail teams.
