Stores and Warehouse Operative

About the role

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting a Stores & Warehouse Operative for a busy manufacturing business in Sparkford. You will join a supportive team in a fast‑paced environment where organisation, teamwork and attention to detail are essential. Full training on company systems will be provided, with opportunities to develop your skills.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, check and process incoming and outgoing goods.
• Pick, pack and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Load and unload deliveries safely.
• Maintain accurate stock control and assist with stock takes.
• Enter data using company systems (training provided).
• Carry out quality checks on outgoing orders.
• Keep the warehouse clean, safe and organised.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
• Support wider factory and production duties when required.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a warehouse or stores environment is desirable.
• Good IT skills and willingness to learn new systems.
• Strong numeracy, communication and organisational abilities.
• Ability to work accurately in a fast‑paced setting.
• Own transport is essential due to the location.
• Reliable, energetic, self‑motivated and a positive team player.

Required skills

• Forklift operation (FLT licence – advantageous but not essential).
• Basic computer/IT proficiency for data entry.

What we offer

• £12.71 per hour, rising to £13.21 per hour with a valid FLT licence.
• Full‑time, Monday‑to‑Friday, 8:00‑16:30 schedule.
