Stores Controller

About the role

We are seeking a Stores Controller to manage purchasing, shipping, inventory and warehousing for our aviation parts store at Stansted. Reporting to the Head of AXC Stores & Stock, you will ensure compliance with regulations and support internal and external customers.

Key responsibilities

• Run day‑to‑day operations of the Stansted stores, receiving and inspecting aircraft parts.
• Maintain correct material handling, storage conditions and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Arrange dispatch via appropriate carriers, including handling of dangerous goods.
• Perform inventory control, monitoring shelf‑life items and waste disposal in line with environmental rules.
• Create and maintain documentation, logs and archive files.
• Optimize space utilisation, keep a clean working environment and seek operational improvements.
• Provide high‑level service to internal and external customers and manage core return processes.
• Drive company vehicles and work flexible shift patterns as required.

Required profile

• Experience in stores inspection or quality control, preferably within an aviation logistics environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Possession of a UK driving licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP software.
• Competent use of Microsoft Office applications.
