Stores Person – Inventory & Logistics Specialist

About the role

We are partnering with an established manufacturing business in Alton to recruit an experienced Stores Person. You will join a growing team responsible for maintaining accurate stock levels and supporting internal departments with timely material supply.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Record deliveries accurately in the inventory system.
• Organise stock locations and perform regular stock checks.
• Issue stock and materials to internal departments as required.
• Pick, pack and prepare customer or supplier orders for dispatch.
• Arrange shipments with approved carriers.
• Report stock shortages, damages or non‑conforming materials.

Required profile

• Previous experience in stores, warehouse or logistics environments.
• Proficiency with ERP or MRP systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure and solve problems.
• Forklift experience is desirable.

What we offer

• Competitive salary £30,000 – £32,000 per year, dependent on experience.
• Full‑time permanent role, Monday‑Friday 8:00‑16:30.
• 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing with length of service.
