Stores Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking a Stores Supervisor to lead a small team within a fast‑moving engineering environment. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of materials, maintaining stock accuracy and supporting the dispatch function.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a team of 2‑5 stores staff, providing guidance and support.
• Implement organisation and structure for the stores department to optimise material movement.
• Control and allocate part numbers, increasing stock accuracy.
• Assist the dispatch team when required.
• Liaise with production and engineering teams to understand their material needs.
• Identify areas for improvement or cost savings.

Required profile

• Experience as a Senior Operator or in a management position within a stores department.
• Background in engineering or manufacturing environments.
• Strong organisational, methodical and logical thinking abilities.
• Ability to manage a small team effectively with minimal supervision.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using ERP systems, preferably Navision.
