Stores & Warehouse Operative

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Stores & Warehouse Operative to support the day‑to‑day operations at our Leyland site, with occasional visits to Kendal. You will manage the flow of stock from receipt to dispatch, ensuring materials are stored safely and are ready for our installation teams.

Key responsibilities

• Receive deliveries, check documentation and verify goods are complete and undamaged.
• Record stock accurately in the system and maintain up‑to‑date inventory records.
• Investigate and resolve missing, damaged or delayed deliveries.
• Maintain appropriate stock levels to prevent delays for installation teams.
• Organise and keep the warehouse tidy, ensuring items are clearly labelled and easily accessible.
• Pick, pack and load materials for daily work schedules.
• Carry out occasional deliveries of bifold doors and other products using the company van.
• Support the Contracts Manager with logistics, stores management and stock control tasks.

Required profile

• Organised, reliable and attentive to detail.
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in a stores or warehouse environment is desirable.

Required skills

• Familiarity with stock control systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
