Strategic Account Manager (Food & Drink)

About the role

This position offers the chance to manage a high‑profile national sporting partnership for a market‑leading food & drink business. You will own the relationship, develop growth strategies and drive commercial success across the partnership.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop a flagship national sporting account.
• Create and deliver strategic growth plans to strengthen the partnership.
• Identify new commercial opportunities and lead business‑development initiatives.
• Analyse sales and market data to spot trends and growth areas.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Category, Commercial and Sales teams to execute campaigns and activations.
• Build senior‑level relationships with key stakeholders.
• Measure performance, present insights and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• Experience in the food or drinks industry (manufacturer, brand owner or supplier).
• Proven success managing large strategic or national accounts.
• Strong commercial and business‑development capabilities.
• Excellent analytical ability with confidence interpreting sales and performance data.
• Experience working alongside marketing teams on customer initiatives.
• Outstanding relationship‑building and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Interest in sport (particularly rugby) is advantageous but not essential.
