Strategic Project Delivery Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Project Delivery Manager to lead the delivery of organisational priorities, projects and change initiatives within a values‑led organisation. This autonomous, high‑visibility role works closely with senior leaders and offers hybrid working from Reading.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee strategic projects and organisational priorities.
• Develop and maintain project plans, risk registers, action logs and reporting frameworks.
• Produce high‑quality reports, briefings and papers for senior leaders and governance groups.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and support mitigation planning.
• Support organisational planning, governance and decision‑making processes.
• Build strong relationships across teams to ensure joined‑up delivery.
• Lead and develop a small team while promoting continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Organised and confident project professional with experience supporting senior leaders.
• Proven experience managing projects, programmes or organisational change initiatives.
• Strong project management skills and knowledge of recognised methodologies.
• Excellent organisational and planning abilities, able to manage competing priorities.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Outstanding written communication, including report writing for senior audiences.
• Experience producing governance, board or committee papers.
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship‑building skills.
• High levels of discretion.

Required skills

What we offer

• Salary £48,000‑£51,000 per annum (with progression to £57,177).
• Permanent contract, full‑time 35 hours per week (part‑time considered).
• Hybrid working model based in Reading, South East England.
