Structural Engineer

About the role

Jacobs is expanding its engineering team and is looking for a Structural Engineer to join a multi‑discipline group delivering complex facilities such as semiconductor plants and data centres. This role offers early‑ to mid‑career engineers the chance to work on full‑cycle projects from feasibility studies to construction documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Organise, assign and delegate engineering and design tasks to produce construction documents.
• Manage scope, budget and schedule to meet project goals.
• Coordinate in real time with mechanical, civil, architectural and process disciplines.
• Lead plant design activities as an area/system leader and collaborate with multi‑discipline designers.
• Develop detailed designs of steel, concrete and masonry structures in accordance with BS, EN and international codes.
• Utilise a wide range of design software and perform hand calculations.
• Liaise with Revit and CAD technicians to ensure high‑quality deliverables.

Required skills
