Structural Engineer - Residential & Commercial

About the role

Goldberg Engineering Ltd is seeking a Structural Engineer to join its West Malling office. You will work on a variety of residential and commercial projects across the South East, from loft conversions to warehouse extensions, delivering designs from concept through construction.

Key responsibilities

• Design structural solutions for residential projects such as loft conversions, extensions, internal alterations and new builds.
• Provide structural support for commercial projects, including warehouses and blue‑chip client developments.
• Conduct site surveys and structural assessments.
• Prepare structural reports, design calculations and detailed drawings using AutoCAD or Revit.
• Support project delivery from concept design to construction stage.
• Assist with business development and client relationship management.

Required profile

• BEng or MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years post‑graduate experience, preferably in the residential sector.
• Strong ability in steel and timber design, especially beams and columns.
• Confident communicator, self‑starter and working towards or already chartered.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
