Structural Engineer – Tension & Cable Systems

About the role

Tensys is seeking a full‑time Engineer to join its Bath studio. You will work on the design, analysis and development of innovative lightweight tension structures, cable net systems and façade solutions for a global portfolio of architectural, artistic and aerospace projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design, analyse and detail tension, cable and façade structures using advanced engineering methods.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate structural solutions into complex geometric forms.
• Conduct applied research to develop innovative engineering approaches.
• Prepare high‑quality technical documentation and reports.
• Liaise with clients, support project management and ensure project timelines are met.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Structural or a related engineering discipline.
• Proven experience in structural design, analysis and detailing, especially for tension or cable systems.
• Strong project coordination and timeline management abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in structural engineering.
