Student Engagement and Finance Assistant

About the role

This permanent, full‑time position supports the Student Engagement, Finance and Well‑being team at Newcastle College. You will help plan and deliver events, manage the Students’ Union, and provide guidance to students seeking financial assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Group Head of Student Engagement, Finance and Well‑being in developing and coordinating key events across the college group.
• Supervise the day‑to‑day running of the Students’ Union, working closely with the Students’ Union President and Group Executive.
• Oversee Students’ Union events and projects, ensuring they align with the college’s strategic goals.
• Support the Student Finance Team during peak periods and as directed.

Required profile

• Relevant Level 3 qualification in Business, Administration or a related field.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff and external partners.
