About the role
The Student Success Tutor will join LCCA’s academic team in London, providing proactive academic support and personal tutoring to help learners achieve their goals. Working onsite five days a week, the role involves evening and weekend coverage as the college operates seven days a week.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver one‑to‑one and group academic support, clarifying course material and developing student skills.
- Act as a personal tutor, creating individual support and development plans.
- Identify at‑risk students using attendance and performance data and trigger early‑intervention measures.
- Facilitate SMART goal setting, monitor progress and provide regular feedback.
- Collaborate with well‑being, careers and academic teams to connect students with appropriate resources.
- Provide ad‑hoc classroom cover, delivering prepared teaching materials and maintaining continuity of learning.
- Maintain accurate records of student interactions, plans and outcomes.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Business, Management, Graphic Design, Fashion, Hospitality).
- Working towards or holding a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Strong communication, problem‑solving and organisational abilities.
- Cultural competence and commitment to inclusive education and widening participation.
Required skills
- Proficiency with learning management and student support systems.
