Studio Manager

About the role
We are looking for a Studio Manager to lead our in‑house photography studio for a well‑established UK e‑commerce and retail brand. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality visual assets for eCommerce, marketing and brand campaigns on time and within budget.
Key responsibilities
- Lead day‑to‑day operations of the studio, from planning to final delivery.
- Manage photography, retouching and studio workflows to meet deadlines.
- Plan and prioritize studio schedules aligned with product launches, seasonal campaigns and business needs.
- Mentor and develop the studio team together with the Assistant Manager.
- Lead photographers, stylists and retouchers, coordinating freelance talent as required.
- Implement AI tools and new technologies to improve image creation and efficiency.
- Maintain production schedules and asset trackers for Marketing, eCommerce, Social and Creative teams.
- Ensure imagery complies with brand guidelines and quality standards across all channels.
- Oversee studio equipment, maintenance, inventory and health & safety.
- Review and introduce new processes to boost productivity and operational efficiency.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to align timelines and priorities.
- Monitor studio budgets, resource allocation and production output.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years experience in studio management, studio operations or content production, preferably in eCommerce, retail or a product‑focused environment.
- Proven track record of leading creative production teams including photographers, stylists, retouchers and freelancers.
- Strong understanding of end‑to‑end photography and content production workflows.
Required skills
- Experience with AI‑driven image creation tools.
- Knowledge of studio equipment, maintenance and health & safety standards.
- Budget management and resource planning.
