Study Physician – 1‑Year Fixed‑Term (Full‑Time)

About the role

hVIVO is seeking a Study Physician to join its London team on a one‑year fixed‑term basis. You will be responsible for the clinical assessment and safety monitoring of participants in human challenge studies focused on respiratory viruses, including flu, RSV, HRV and Covid‑19. The role ensures that all trial activities are conducted in line with protocol, SOPs, ICH GCP and GMC requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Screen, assess and enrol study participants, obtaining informed consent in accordance with GCP standards.
• Perform and supervise clinical procedures required by study protocols, documenting findings accurately.
• Provide clinical expertise and support to the research team, identifying and escalating safety concerns.
• Maintain subject records, source documents and CRFs, ensuring data integrity.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet sample collection timelines and study milestones.
• Assist senior physicians with staffing, scheduling and feasibility reviews of study protocols.

Required profile

• Medical degree with full GMC registration.
• Experience in clinical trial conduct, preferably in respiratory or infectious disease studies.
• Familiarity with ICH GCP, SOPs and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to work safely with viral challenge agents and assess personal health risks.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ICH GCP guidelines.
• Proficiency in clinical assessment and documentation.
• Experience with informed consent processes.
