Sub Agent

About the role

The Sub Agent will work alongside a Project Manager on one or several construction projects across Manchester, Derbyshire and Lancashire. This site‑based role supports project governance, supply‑chain relationships and client‑facing outputs, helping to deliver health, safety, quality and commercial success.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in ensuring compliance with legal and industry standards.
• Maintain health & safety arrangements and oversee training for all project staff.
• Administer the Project Management Plan and embed quality assurance processes.
• Deploy the MWHT Business Management System across the project.
• Interpret client contracts and cascade requirements to the supply chain.
• Support the PM and Quantity Surveyor in monitoring supply‑chain costs, change notifications and internal design costs.
• Use client digital platforms to capture and communicate project outputs.
• Manage stakeholder accountability and escalate risks with mitigation plans.
• Lead client‑facing governance, ensuring required documentation progresses on schedule.

Required profile

• Experience supporting project managers on construction or infrastructure projects.
• Good understanding of health & safety, quality and environmental standards.
• Ability to work across multiple sites and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to contractual details.

Required skills

• Proficiency with client digital platforms for project documentation.
