Subsidence Consultant – Remote (UK)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Subsidence Consultant to join our national loss adjusting team. Working remotely from the North West of England, you will manage a diverse portfolio of domestic and commercial subsidence claims, ensuring service level agreements are met and decisions are underpinned by sound technical reasoning.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of subsidence claims, from assessment through to settlement or decline.
• Apply insurance liability principles and technical expertise to each case.
• Diagnose structural defects and identify causes of damage using evidence supplied by surveyors, suppliers and other specialists.
• Maintain accurate records and meet all agreed service level targets.

Required profile

• Recognised professional building qualification (e.g., MICE, MRICS, MCIOB, MIStructE, MCABE) or demonstrable experience in the field.
• Strong technical knowledge of structural defects and subsidence issues.
• Experience in the insurance industry with an understanding of liability considerations.
• Confident negotiation and influencing skills to reach agreement with multiple stakeholders.
