Subsidence Technical Manager

About the role

Sedgwick is recruiting a Subsidence Technical Manager across the UK on a permanent basis. The role provides technical support to teams of Building Consultants on individual claims and team initiatives, covering queries, referrals, complaints and complex scenarios so that Policyholders and Clients get positive outcomes. The manager ensures technical quality delivery from the team and reports to the team Operations Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Building Consultants' licensing, mentoring and support for complaint resolution
• Conduct audits and ensure accuracy in reserving and decision-making
• Help colleagues deliver revenue targets and top-tier customer service
• Promote technical development through professional qualifications and engage in client interactions to show technical expertise
• Work with other managers to improve quality, upskill colleagues and identify growth opportunities

Required profile

• Essential: previous experience in a subsidence claims environment with a strong background in complex issues
• Building-related professional qualification and/or extensive industry experience
• Strong coaching and mentoring skills
• Ability to work in a team with the extended leadership team in Subsidence
• Flexible and conscientious during high volumes, with a professional, enthusiastic attitude
