Sunday Shop Supervisor

About the role

Age UK is looking for a motivated individual to run its busy Sunday shop in Newton Abbot. You will work six hours each Sunday, delivering high‑quality customer service and ensuring the store is welcoming and well‑presented.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and display stock, keeping the shop tidy and accessible.
• Support volunteers and maximise sales through excellent service.
• Promote Gift Aid to customers.
• Handle and lift bags of stock up to 10 kg.
• Maintain health and safety and fire regulation standards.

Required profile

• Excellent customer‑service skills.
• Literate and numerate.
• Effective team player with a flexible approach.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy bags of stock.
• Basic knowledge of health & safety and fire regulations.
• Previous retail or shop‑management experience is an advantage.
• Must be 18 years or older.
