Superflex Roadside Mechanic – Flexible Shifts in Portsmouth

About the role

Join the RAC as a Superflex Roadside Mechanic, providing rapid assistance to members across the Portsmouth area. You will work flexible shifts that cover early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays, helping drivers get back on the road safely.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to roadside breakdown calls within the Portsmouth, Havant, Waterlooville, Fareham, Gosport, Chichester and Emsworth zones.
• Diagnose vehicle faults on‑site and perform repairs using the provided diagnostic kit and tools.
• Complete service reports and update job status on the RAC system.
• Maintain a clean, fully equipped RAC van and ensure all safety procedures are followed.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with at least 2 years’ experience, **or** 5 years’ experience as a vehicle technician/mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 penalty points.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to a dynamic, 24/7 service environment.
