Superflex Roadside Mechanic – Reading

About the role

The RAC is looking for a Superflex Roadside Mechanic to join its Reading cluster. You will provide flexible, on‑the‑road vehicle assistance across Reading, Wokingham, Bracknell and surrounding towns, ensuring members get back on the road quickly.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to breakdown calls and perform on‑site repairs or part replacements.
• Travel locally using a company‑provided RAC van, arriving at the incident site promptly.
• Maintain accurate service records and update job status via the RAC diagnostic system.
• Adhere to health and safety standards while working in varied weather and traffic conditions.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with at least 2 years experience, or 5 years experience as a vehicle technician/mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 penalty points.
• Ability to work flexible shifts between 06:00 and 02:00, including weekends and bank holidays.
