About the role

Montu Pharmacy is the dispensing engine behind the UK’s largest medical‑cannabis clinic, processing 50,000 prescriptions each month. We are seeking a Superintendent Pharmacist who thrives in a fully digital, high‑growth environment and can lead professional and regulatory standards while shaping the future of digital pharmacy.

Key responsibilities

• Provide patient‑centred clinical and professional leadership for the digital pharmacy.
• Maintain compliance with GPhC Standards and all statutory pharmacy regulations.
• Develop, document and communicate safe working practices and standard operating procedures for high‑volume dispensing.
• Oversee training, competency and the GPhC Code of Ethics for pharmacy staff.
• Ensure the Pharmacy Record and prescription records meet the Medicines (Pharmacies) (Responsible Pharmacist) Regulations 2008 and related legal requirements.
• Lead governance, risk and audit activities, including preparation for GPhC inspections.
• Collaborate with the Medical Director and Pharmacy General Manager to shape clinical strategy and the future of digital pharmacy.

Required profile

• Registered pharmacist with GPhC registration.
• Experience in fast‑growing, technology‑driven pharmacy or health‑tech environments.
• Proven ability to manage large prescription volumes while maintaining rigorous professional standards.
• Comfort with automation, dispensing technology and developing new operating models.
• Strong governance mindset and ability to influence strategic direction.

Required skills

• Knowledge of GPhC Standards and UK pharmacy legislation.
• Familiarity with digital dispensing platforms and automation tools.
