Supermarket Assistant – Customer Service & Stock Replenishment

About the role

As a Supermarket Assistant you will be the face of the store, delivering partner‑led service that makes customers choose Waitrose again and again. You will combine customer interaction with essential shop‑keeping tasks to keep the store running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

  • Replenish stock to ensure shelves are full and products are correctly placed.
  • Prepare online orders for delivery drivers and manage Click & Collect pickups.
  • Reduce waste by applying product due‑date checks and markdowns.
  • Support checkout operations and assist with on‑demand customer orders.
  • Maintain a safe, tidy and organised working environment.

Required profile

  • Strong communication skills for teamwork and customer interaction.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Flexible approach to support the whole branch.
  • Previous experience in a customer‑facing role is welcomed.
  • Interest in current food and drink trends.
