Supervisor – Retrofit Programme (Social Housing)

About the role

The Supervisor will lead the delivery of planned retrofit works across social housing properties, ensuring high‑quality standards, safety, and customer satisfaction. You will work closely with local teams and subcontractors to meet contractual KPIs and support community improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operational delivery of planned works contracts, overseeing staff and subcontractors.
• Ensure works comply with building regulations, quality standards, and health & safety legislation.
• Oversee internal and external works such as wall cavity insulation, window and door replacement, storage heaters, and roofing, including scaffolding and work at height.
• Monitor programme progression through site visits, resource planning, and budget control.
• Communicate regularly with line managers on progress, issues, and contract adjustments.

Required profile

• Relevant construction supervisory qualifications (SSSTS or SMSTS).
• Knowledge of PAS 2035 domestic retrofit standards.
• Asbestos awareness and competence in working at heights/scaffolding.
• Experience in managing health & safety compliance and refurbishment projects.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer‑focused attitude.
