Supply Chain Compliance Manager

About the role
The Supply Chain Compliance Manager will work closely with Technical, Procurement, Specifications and Raw Material Quality teams to ensure suppliers meet safety, quality, legal and ethical standards. This role is pivotal in maintaining supply chain resilience and regulatory compliance for a leading FMCG manufacturing business.
Key responsibilities
- Manage supplier approval, onboarding and ongoing assurance programmes.
- Conduct supplier risk assessments and due‑diligence reviews.
- Plan and deliver supplier audits and technical assessments.
- Investigate supplier quality issues, complaints and non‑conformances.
- Manage supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain Fairtrade, RSPO and other certification requirements.
- Support BRC, customer and third‑party audits.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, legal and customer requirements.
Required profile
- Confident, commercially aware quality or technical professional with strong cross‑functional collaboration skills.
- Experience in manufacturing or FMCG environments.
- Proven supplier auditing and assurance experience.
- Internal auditing qualification.
- Strong working knowledge of HACCP principles.
- Understanding of food supply chains and supplier risk management.
- Experience investigating supplier non‑conformances and conducting root‑cause analysis.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
- Ability to influence suppliers and drive continuous improvement.
