Supply Chain Manager

About the role

This is a hands‑on, operational supply chain position supporting 45 field engineers across the UK. You will own inventory, stock control and supplier management, ensuring the right parts reach the right place at the right time.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full inventory lifecycle – planning, re‑ordering, replenishment and optimisation across multiple locations.
• Guarantee that field engineers have the correct stock in vans, remote sites and central stores with real‑time visibility.
• Drive improvements to the ERP system and stock‑management processes, supporting automation and better data.
• Implement effective inventory controls, including regular stock counts, cycle checks and root‑cause analysis of discrepancies.
• Review BOMs and inventory data to identify slow‑moving, obsolete or high‑risk stock and take corrective action.
• Lead and develop a team of three inventory specialists.

Required profile

• Proven experience in supply chain or inventory management within an operational environment.
• Experience leading a small team and managing stock for remote field operations.
• Ability to work autonomously and drive process improvements.
