Supply Chain Planner

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Planner to support a global manufacturing organisation based in Leeds. This temporary position runs until March 2027 and offers a hybrid working model, allowing you to work on‑site three days a week after training.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of global suppliers and coordinate daily supply chain planning activities.
• Monitor supplier performance, identify risks and resolve potential supply chain issues.
• Lead supplier performance reviews and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support inventory management, demand planning and supply continuity.
• Analyse supply chain data to spot trends and recommend process improvements.
• Apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across the organisation.

Required profile

• Degree qualified in Supply Chain, Business or related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• Previous experience as a Supply Chain Planner, Materials Planner or similar role.
• Proven ability to manage supplier performance and handle escalations.
• Strong analytical skills with data‑driven decision‑making.
• Good understanding of inventory management, demand planning and overall supply chain operations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing or engineering environment.
