About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Supply History Teacher to join a well‑established secondary school in Durham. The role runs from September 2026 to Easter 2027 and offers the chance to inspire pupils with a love of history while working in a supportive, inclusive environment.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging History lessons to secondary‑school students across various year groups.
- Prepare and adapt teaching materials to meet the curriculum and student needs.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to promote a positive learning atmosphere.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events.
Required profile
- Qualified History teacher with appropriate teaching certifications.
- Proven experience teaching History at a secondary‑school level.
