About the role

Hays Education is partnering with primary schools in Canterbury to find enthusiastic Key Stage 1 teachers for supply and long‑term placements. The role is full‑time and starts immediately, offering the chance to work in a supportive classroom environment where young learners build the foundations of their education.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons for Key Stage 1 pupils.
• Assess and support children’s academic progress and personal development.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive classroom where every child feels confident to learn.
• Collaborate with senior staff and parents to promote pupil wellbeing.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England.
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 1.
• Ability to deliver inclusive, differentiated lessons.
• Strong classroom management and a proactive professional attitude.
