About the role
Hays Education is partnering with several primary schools in Herne Bay to recruit enthusiastic Key Stage 1 (KS1) teachers on a supply basis. The role offers immediate start dates and can be undertaken on a full‑time, day‑to‑day or long‑term supply arrangement, providing flexibility for both early‑career and experienced teachers.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging KS1 lessons that develop literacy, numeracy and social skills.
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment and manage behaviour effectively.
- Assess pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents and carers to support each child's development.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England.
- Proven experience teaching within Key Stage 1.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management abilities.
- Adaptable, positive attitude and commitment to pupil progress.
