Supply Primary Teacher – Croydon (Part‑time/Contract)

About the role

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking enthusiastic Primary Teachers to provide short‑term absence cover across a range of primary schools in Croydon. The role offers flexible, part‑time or contract assignments, allowing you to choose when and where you work while gaining experience in different school settings.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons using the absent teacher’s lesson plans.
• Supervise and support pupils throughout the school day, including break times and lunchtime.
• Maintain classroom behaviour in line with each school’s policy.
• Complete routine duties such as registers, assemblies and other administrative tasks.
• Ensure a safe, inclusive learning environment and follow safeguarding and health‑and‑safety procedures.

Required profile

• Qualified Primary Teacher (Qualified Teacher Status) or Early Career Teacher.
• Reliable, punctual and able to travel across the borough of Croydon.
• Willingness to adapt quickly to different school environments and curricula.

Required skills

• Classroom management.
• Lesson delivery using existing plans.
• Safeguarding and health‑and‑safety compliance.
