Supply Primary Teaching Assistant – Leeds

About the role

Randstad Education is seeking Supply Primary Teaching Assistants for schools across Leeds. The role offers flexible, daily or longer‑term placements in a variety of primary schools, allowing you to choose the hours and days that suit your lifestyle.

Key responsibilities

• Provide classroom support to the class teacher, assisting with lesson delivery and pupil activities.
• Help manage behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
• Support diverse pupils, including those with additional needs, in line with the UK National Curriculum.
• Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed and maintain up‑to‑date DBS compliance.

Required profile

• Recent, verifiable experience working in a UK primary school classroom or childcare setting.
• Relevant CACHE Level 2 or 3 qualification (or equivalent) is desirable.
• Valid enhanced DBS check on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Strong communication, proactive attitude and ability to work collaboratively with teachers.
