Supply Reception Teacher – Margate (Full‑Time/Temporary)

About the role

Hays Education is partnering with several primary schools in Margate to recruit enthusiastic Reception teachers on a supply basis. The role offers an immediate start and the chance to support children as they begin their educational journey within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, child‑centred lessons that align with the EYFS curriculum.
• Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that promotes curiosity, independence and confidence.
• Monitor and assess pupils’ social, emotional and academic development.
• Collaborate with senior staff, parents and colleagues to support each child’s progress.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of a diverse classroom.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards QTS.
• Experience teaching in Reception or EYFS settings.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and its objectives.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff.
• Enthusiastic, creative and nurturing approach to early years education.

Required skills

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) certification.
