About the role
Hays Education is seeking qualified secondary teachers for flexible supply assignments across Tiverton and the surrounding Mid Devon area. The role starts in September 2026 and offers both full‑time and part‑time daily rates.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lessons within your subject specialism.
- Maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
- Adapt confidently to different school settings and year groups.
- Follow each school’s policies and safeguarding procedures.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively.
- Support pupils in achieving their full potential.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching in UK secondary schools.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management abilities.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Flexible, reliable and professional approach.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
