Supply Teacher – Daily Cover in Newham

About the role

Engage Education is seeking enthusiastic supply teachers to provide daily cover for primary and secondary schools in Newham and the wider East London area. The role offers flexible, short‑term or long‑term assignments from September 2026 onward, with the option of guaranteed‑pay contracts for added income certainty.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lesson plans and maintain classroom discipline on a day‑to‑day basis.
• Provide short‑notice cover for up to two full days per week (8:15 am – 3:30 pm).
• Establish quick, positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Adapt to varying school environments across primary and secondary settings.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Flexibility to accept short‑notice assignments.
• Availability for at least two full days per week.
• Previous experience in a primary or secondary classroom (NQT/ECT welcome).
