About the role
Hays Education is partnering with a range of welcoming primary schools in the South West to provide flexible, day‑to‑day teaching cover. This opportunity is ideal for qualified primary teachers who want to fit work around their personal commitments while making a real impact on young learners.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, curriculum‑aligned lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
- Manage behaviour in line with each school’s policies.
- Adapt quickly to different school settings and teaching requirements.
- Support pupils to achieve their full potential.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
- Recent experience teaching in primary schools.
- Strong classroom management abilities.
- Professional, flexible and positive attitude.
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) and commitment to safeguarding.
