About the role

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking enthusiastic supply teachers to support primary schools in Clacton‑on‑Sea and surrounding areas for the 2026/2027 academic year. This role offers a range of flexible assignments, from one‑day cover to longer‑term placements, allowing you to gain valuable classroom experience while fitting work around your lifestyle.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons and maintain high‑quality learning across various year groups.
• Provide classroom cover in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Lead learning using pre‑planned resources or your own professional expertise where appropriate.
• Create a positive, inclusive and well‑managed classroom environment.
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of all learners.
• Collaborate with school staff to ensure continuity of pupil progress.
• Provide clear feedback to support ongoing learning.

Required profile

• Qualified Primary Teachers (QTS) or Early Career Teachers seeking classroom experience.
• Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) ready for increased responsibility.
• Experienced Cover Supervisors looking for flexible work.
• Unqualified teachers with relevant classroom experience are also welcome.
