About the role

Hays Education is partnering with a range of welcoming primary schools in Swindon to provide flexible, day‑to‑day teaching cover. This supply teacher role allows you to work across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, fitting your schedule while making a real impact on young learners.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, curriculum‑aligned lessons for primary year groups.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
• Manage behaviour in line with each school’s policies.
• Adapt quickly to differing school settings and teaching requirements.
• Support pupils to achieve their full potential.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
• Recent experience teaching in UK primary schools.
• Strong classroom management abilities.
• Professional, flexible and positive attitude.
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) and commitment to safeguarding.

Required skills

• Curriculum planning and delivery for EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
• Behaviour management techniques.
• Ability to adapt lessons to varied school contexts.
